At... such a young age? You were just a baby.

... My mother died when I was young, and my dad didn't take it well. He barely managed to go to work. He stopped showing any emotion and wasn't able to keep up with any housework, let alone take care of three kids.

Since I was the oldest, I asked my dad to let me take care of all the housework. I learned how to cook and clean, all of that.

[He sighs.]

I wasn't feeling appreciated in the moment, is all.

It's a silly reason to run away, huh?

[He really, honestly believes it was.]

That ain't silly! [ She frowns, getting worked up. ] That's a lot to put on yer shoulders when yer just a kid.

Yeah. Once I came back from my run away attempt they apologized and said thanks.

[ she stood on her tippy toes!! ]

Good. [ She's smiling, satisfied. ] Ya must miss 'em, huh?

Yeah. I could always go and visit. But we're basically stuck here until we're done, right?

[fluffier]

Yeah, I don't think we can go back.. [ Scratches her head. ] Yer home looked kinda like another place I saw—New York? Is that where ya lived?

[housewolf]

Hmm? That's on the other side of the world. I'm from Tokyo.

Tokyo? Never heard of it. [ She looks curious, trying to recall the scene from the memory. ] Do ya have gigantic buildings and lotsa fast machines there too?

Fast machines... Are you talking about cars or something else?

[fluffier]

Yeah! The ones that carry people around, and they're kinda dirty...

[ She's thinking about buses. ]

Are they really long vehicles?

[fluffier]

Yeah! Those're the ones.

I think those are probably buses.

Yeah, that's what Takeru called 'em! Yer world is so interestin'... there's so much stuff around.

Courtesan... Japan hasn't had a court like that for a very long time.

Summer did a show about cats.

No, it's more like... the Summer troupe did a show about cats.

Hmmm, it sounds pretty peaceful where ya come from.

[ No fighting dragons, etc. ]

... Aren't ya a little shaken up by all the scary stuff that happens here?

[Omi's life is pretty normal, all things considered.]
